    Bad vibration

I got my stroker motor running in my 325ix after a snapped timing belt and now I am having this horrible vibration. It didn't used to do this so I am trying to figure out why it would suddenly start.

I installed a new TOB, and it has a lighted OEM flywheel with a 6 puck clutch. There were no problems initially after the installation of these components.
The vibration occurs at different engine speeds when in gear or in neutral while idling. But when you push the clutch in the vibration goes away.

I revved the car in neutral with the clutch out and it feels as if the whole car is shuddering, but then if I put the clutch in and rev it, it revs super smooth. As soon as letting the clutch out, it almost feels as if the clutch is still slightly engages. When driving, the car vibrates.

I have a feeling there could be two issues going on here. First the clutch/tranny, could it have bad mounts or low fluid causing the vibration in neutral?

Second how can I tell if the driveline also has a problem?

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

Did you have the flywheel balanced after lightening?
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I bought the flywheel from Ranger's new #6 car. I did not balance it myself but it has some balancing spots.

Okay, them presumably the flywheel is okay. That tends to implicate the transmission, but don't take that as a definitive diagnosis. Have a pro check out the car.

Could it be the pilot bearing? It has a new TOB.

The symptoms don't sound right to me for a pilot bearing. I'm more inclined to think it has something to do with the transmission, but long distance diagnosis is tough. Have a pro check out the car.
