M52 swap - driveshaft center support bearing need shimmed down?

had a vibration issue and replaced my guibo on my 88 e30 with M52/G260.

i noticed that the PO had shimmed the center support bearing down about 1/4 inch using some washers.

    is this necessary?

car is using the green engine mounts, and has the correct swap trans mount.

again - do i need to shim the center bearing down, or should i remove them?

I haven't shimmed it on any of the swapped cars I've been involved with.
