Sometime when I get going in first it doesn't accelerate like normal. The speedometer needle doesn't move and the idle is at 25-3000 and sounds very high. So I put it in 2nd and then it gets up and then I go back to 1st and its good.

That sounds like it might be a slipping clutch. Have a pro. Check out the car.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
