    automatic tranny cooler lines

On my '87, the line that goes from the transmission to the lower-port on the in-radiator cooler is leaking. The way I see it, I have 2 options:

    1) Buy a brand new line (if I can find one)
    2) Build one out of steel-braided lines

Checking out real-oem, it looks like that line will run me $60 if I can find it. I sent an email out to BMA to see if they could find this part, but I might end up going to the stealership (and hope they have it).

Does anyone think I can build that same line for around $60? I'm thinking it'll cost $30 for the steel-braided hose, and maybe $30-40 for the metric hose ends and a couple 90 degree bends. Does anyone know where to find metric hose ends?

Let it leak man. ATF is cheap. $60 of ATF will last you years.

Its actually a pretty nasty leak. You're just trying to get me to fry my tranny so I have to put in a 5spd =)

I'd rather not put a used part in.

Patrick from BMA mentioned he might be able to get something, so hopefully that will work out =)

why don't you come by and pick up my lines, only 116k miles, on a 1992 e30.

I'm swapping to manual so I dont need these lines anymore.

I'll GIVE them to you, you live down the freeway from me. 20 minute drive sans-traffic, 40 mins with.

just bring the right tools to get the lines out, and I'll even take it out for you. I don't have a wrench large enough to fit the nuts.

(bring 18mm - 22mm wrenches if you have them)

That's an AWESOME offer, but I was able to get the line from Patrick. Dang... if I had known, I could have saved myself $60.

I might be interested in your tranny though. Wanna sell it?

yeah, buy it, buy it all!

                get it outta my garage!

(I need money for spacers so my car can actually drive again, my wheels are so sunken in, they won't mount)
