    1988 325 vs 325iS Axle Differences...

    Just an FYI for the community, there are differences between the eta and iS packages in regards to axles.

    I don't know if this explains strength issues on remanufactured axles or if that is due to polishing away the oem hardened races during the remanufacturing process.

    so are you saying there is a difference between early and late model axles?

      something is off, or they are offering two different quality grades. all rear six-cylinder axles are the same

          I think the early 325's came without ABS. It doesnt seem likely but could that had resulted in a different axle ?
