so i replaced my driveshaft with one from driveline of portland. i did it in june of last year. now i was having a loud squealing from support bearing area. went under car and grabbed driveshaft and shook it up and down and watched it move up and down in the support bearing. it had a good amount of play in it. is this normal? tthhhhaaaaaank you

If the driveshaft was reconditioned there is no way in hell you could wear it out in that amount of time. Something else must be wrong. Did you disassemble it before installation and time it improperly? Did you install it in the correct order? Did you tighten the gland nut after seating the shaft all the way forward in the trans and tightening the csb bolts? Good luck.sigpicComment

ir just moves imside the csb. i had a reputible shop do the driveshaft work. all parts from blunt or portland driveline. i have a bmw/mini place looking at it today. i moved so i cant have the original place that did it take a look. ill let u know whats up. ive never heard this noise or heard of anyone having this noise from a csd and anything driveshaft relatedComment
