Cool man. I also plan on this soon. How long? By yourself? How much? Did you remove the engine?

congrats man, i did the same thing though im having some issue with the clutch and a vibration issues :/ but either way its not to hard of a job just time consuming. depending on what tools you have it might be easier to pull the motor. i can pull an m20 with my dad in 3 hours, seemsed to take almost twice that to just drop the transmission.

I took roughly 4-5 days but i was taking my time and double checking each nut and bolt, ive messed up a clutch before and DAMN that was an expensive lesson. My Best bud helped me from days one and when i was ready to put the new transmission in i recruited two more people. Cost <900$ and no i didn't remove the engine, just jacked the engine under the A/C bracket to tilt it. The bellhousing bolts and starter are honestly a 3/10 in difficulty. The exhaust was a major pain in the A$$ cause of rusted nuts. Its really not hard or anything just please take your time, make sure all parts are compatible, and TORQUE EVERYTHING properly! You will need to tilt the engine, just watch your fan blades and such. Good Luck to you and Chris i hope you get your problem sorted out!

not besides the inverted torx if you consider that a special tool.

E10-E16 sockets, a bunch of extensions(10in,6in,3in etc.) and at least 2 u-joints. The best way to get bellhousing bolts for me was a 1/2 ratchet with a 6in 1/2 extension 3/8 converter and then extensions to the bolt. Also have a breaker bar near( i used a 10in aluminuim tube) to get more leverage.

Jack the car up at least 18-20in for best clearance.

                    Is this job possible alone?
Did you need a clutch alignment tool?
This would be my first auto-manual swap.
How much in total and what new parts did you buy?

its totally possible alone, but i wouldnt do it for safety reasons plus having another hand makes it so much easier. Your clutch pack should come with an alignment tool. Mine was 700-800ish, i dont know exact but your results may vary greatly
