    wheel hop??? ideas?

What can or could cause "wheel hop" in first (possibly slightly in second) upon medium/hard acceleration on an 87 325i 5 speed with what the vin describes as a 25% locking diff and m sport suspension(according to vin not the seller) its on bilsteins and at the moment unknown lowering springs.. i have yet to drive the car but i am buying it because the seller has done (as far as i know) a phenomenal job representing the car with videos pics and conversation.. i'm trying to get an idea of some stuff to look at when i buy the car and plan for parts i will need to order..

I've never experienced wheel hop in any of my vehicles nor have i ever had to diagnose wheel hop while working in shops as a mechanic.. shock mounts? csb? guibo? tranny mounts?

If this is truly wheel hop I'd be looking at the subframe and rear trailing arm bushings. But, from in the car it would be easy to mistake binding drive shaft u-joints for wheel hop.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The subframe bushings can be a bit of a bear unless you have the special tool set, but it can be done w/o that. With the right tools you can do those in a day or less with the car on jackstands. A lift just makes it easier.

I had some minor wheel hop, it has dissapeared after I replaced rear subframe bushings. I could definately feel the rear end is now planted way better when it is wet.

it wasnt wheel hop it was actually the driveshaft banging against the tranny tunnel :(

just brought the car home a couple days ago

I was planning on being the only one to turn wrenches on my new e30, but the csb and guibo are annihilated and the transmission will be ruined if i dont get it repaired as soon as possible hopefully its not already to late, because of my work schedule and being a single dad i only have weekends to work on the car the current issues the car has are needed immediately so the car will be spending the rest of the week in a shop getting about 600 bucks worth of labor and 500 bucks worth of parts sigh, wish i had the time to save 600 bucks :-\
