''P'' stamped diff

I just received my diff from LKQ and they told me it's a LSD but the tag says 3.73 and not s3.73.

It has a ''P'' stamped on it. I searched but couldn't find any infos about that ''P''.

I'll open it tonight but I'm asking anyway.

"P" stands for Pampered ? lol ............Seriously though i cant say i have ever seen one one with that stamped on it. And the tag would say it all also unless its been swapped somewhere down the line.

Never seen a P painted on it or due you mean on the small tag? I can not remember the codes for replacement differentials was.

I'm dealing with my friend who's working there. In the system it's written ''locking'' but doesn't look like it is a locking diff to me. I'm gonna open it tonight after work to be sure.

Anyway I'm gonna rock it since it was pretty cheap and I'm broke.

The guys at LKQ suck, the diff came from a 1990 325i, 3,73 on the tag, ''P'' stamped on the diff and they still write ''locking'' on the papers...
