Hey, I have a late model e30 that was an auto. I have the pedals from an early model manual car. I was told that i need to swap to an early model steering column as well. Is this true or can i leave my late model steering column?

Do you have an airbag or non airbag car?
If you have a non airbag late model the pedal assembly is a direct swap.
If you have an airbag car you can swap JUST the clutch and brake pedals in to the car's original box. The airbox box already has the provisions to bolt up the clutch master cylinder so no worries there. You can run this setup without a return spring with no issue. -
it's going to be way easier to just swap the pedals from a late car. you don't need to remove the box. late cars don't have a "return spring".Comment
