    Hunting for A Local Diff

I have an open 4.10 in my manual swapped 89 325i. I hate one tire fires and 3000 RPM at 65 mph.

That being said, I'm going to look at a used LSD that's out of the car (89 vert I think he said?). The price of $100 already been agreed on, but I won't know the ratio until I get there (no idea why he hasn't looked at the tag).

As I was writing the above, the guy called me back and said it's a 2.93. Lol, do not want.

Crappy news, but I'll go ahead and ask my original questions. What should I be looking for in a used diff when there's no way to drive on it? Play in the input shaft? Torque required to break clutch lock-up? Naturally it would be a good idea to reseal the shafts and change the fluid, but is there anything else to account for?
