Pretty soon, I'll be putting a new clutch in my 87 e. My question is, but i'm not quite how to go about switching to a single mass flywheel. Am i stuck tracking down an early flywheel with tabs for the 2 Crank position sensors? Any Help from someone more experienced than myself is appreciated! :)

Yep, if you want a single mass flywheel you will need the early one with the timing slugs.Last edited by jlevie; 12-23-2013, 07:53 PM.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

An 86 would have a dual-mass flywheel. The solid flywheel can be resurfaced and is simpler.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
