    Transmission Bolt Washers

I have an S52 with the ZF tranny, but I'm sure this applies to other BMW trannies.

Are any washers required for the transmission bolts when mounting to the engine block? Or to the starter?

I see some pictured on realoem, but they don't have part numbers listed out, so not sure if they're necessary or not.

    Thanks.

You need the washers to prevent damage to the aluminum transmission case by the bolts.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Hmmm, okay. What kind of washers are they? I can't find a part number online for them.

Go to ACE hardware and get some washers that fit the bolt.
