    ls1 driveshaft

I am doing an LS1 conversion on my e30. I'm using garret guide and they advice to use a Camaro driveshaft and change the diff flange for the BMW one. The camaro used both a steel and an aluminum one, which one should I use?
Should I consider modifying the BMW shaft, changing the yoke?
    Thanks

I would use the steel driveshaft. Most driveline shops can work on them easier, I would imagine.

Check out norotors.com for LSx swap info. They are dropping them into Mazdas but the application would be similar. I would venture to guess that changing the flange after shortening would be the most direct method.

power for power, the alloy one is usually larger to handle the flex/distortion at higher revs, so you'll probably want a steel one anyway due to size.

Id modify anything to get rid of the staked in uni's the bmw shafts use.
Just a little project im working on
