So guys and gals,
I have a 90 325is with the LSD. I recently removed the rear subframe to replace all the bushings and CV shafts. During which I removed my diff and sat it aside. Upon completion I reinstalled everything in the car went to bolt up the driveshaft to find the the diff will spin roughy 120° in either direction but that's it, it gets tight and won't complete the rotation. Its not stopping solidly, just tightens and I'm not willing to force it.
The neighbor kid (5) was playing with it the one day it was sitting. Is it possible that in it being rotated around and/or rolled upside down(who knows what he did while I wasn't looking) that a slide pin or something of that nature slide out of place and is causing binding issues?
I'm by no means new to cars or tech work just not very familiar with BMW's LSD.
Thanks G
