quick question re Z3 1.9 lever......

...finally got mine as they were on backorder from Germany. The...148 lever has been superceded by a ...252 lever, and parts guy said he noticed a footnote on BMW computer that states "plastic washer is not needed". Can any1 tell me what the hell that means. The dealer did not know and I havent pulled the parts out yet to visualize anything.......tia!

the plastic washers I'm aware of are two yellow washers on each side of the selector rod pin that slides into the hole on the bottom of the lever.

maybe you don't need those anymore?
Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!

Yeah - this is an old thread...but the answer is yes, on the new 1.9 lever you don't need the yellow washers - if you try to use them the retainer clip won't even fit on the end.

yeah, they don't fit. I got one on the side of the retainer, but not two.
