    Diff problems...

Alright i have an e30 318is w/ an s50 so that means right now i have a 4.10 open diff anyway I have a parts car, a 325e which supposedly has a 2.93 not a perfect choice but anyway it will give me better gas mileage than the 4.10. The problem is the diff is bigger and it looks like it wants to bolt right in but some holes wont line up. My question is, is this damn thing suppose to be a bolt in or do i need a diff from a different car or a specific diff to look for . At this point i am not picky i just want something that would drop right in.

2.93-3.46 open or lsd what will bolt right in thanks guys

The problem you have is the cases from 4 cyl e30s is a little different/smaller than from 6 cyl. You just have to switch the cases, its not that hard, just take your time.

make sure your diff is from an E30.. the E28 diffs are similar but have different output flanges etc. you can convert them to E30 flanges and mounts though.

Well if i widen the upper securing holes it looks like it will work.
