    Driveshaft?

So Im almost done with my swap, I used the revshift adapter guibo but it doesn't fit correctly since I have a closed flange and not the recommended open trans output flange. So now I'm looking for a driveshaft. I know it has to be a 96+ 328i or m3 driveshaft. Can it be from either an automatic or manual car? Are the 4 door driveshafts a bit longer, if so could I use an automatic 4 door driveshaft from a 328i? Needs to have a 4 bolt rear correct?

Does your stock driveshaft have the balancer on it? You can easily remove this without issue.

If you use an E36 driveshaft it must be manual and 4 bolt rear. Coupe or sedan does not matter.

Not sure what you mean by balancer, but thank you! I wasn't sure if you could use an automatic.

You said: "but it doesn't fit correctly since I have a closed flange".

I translated that in to meaning you have a driveshaft with a balancer on it. Post a pic of what you're referring to.
