Transmission Whine , Info Needed

Today i was at A BMW Specialist .

And It Turned out it's the Tranny that's whining in my E30 .
So I Changed the Oil

Engine : 2.7 Alpina C2 Engine
Transmission : 260/5 Overspeed/Overdrive
Diff : Medium Case 3.73 LSD .

I used 75w90 ....
Now the Whine is quieter But still whines on 2nd Gear .
The Specialist says , every Worn Out BMW Gerag 260 whines at 200,000 KM .
Is there any way i can Get it beck to be quite .
See if i use Thicker oil , would be quieter ???
While Removing the Drain plug , I found Alot of Metal Dust and two Small Pieces of Metal in a Size of sesame Seed .
So Is My Tranny Fooked ?
will it keep whining on 2nd gear ?
The Specialist says that Box is bulletproof , and i can go to germany driving my E30 with that Box

But still , i hate the Whine sound .

Should I use Redline Shockproof Gearoil ? Will It Remove the whine or make it quieter ?
It's hard to find redline here , but i know the shock proof is 75w140 .

any Ideas ?

It seems the tranny can probably log more miles but will be noisy. I've tried different trans fluid, additives, and the noise is the same. If you can't stand the whine, either replace with lower mileage trans or rebuild it.
