BMW m20 turbo pressure plate failure.

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has some advice. I recently had a pressure plate blow up and take out my transmission on a pull. It was a clutch masters fx350 kit. Clutch disc is still fine but as for my pressure plate and transmission that's a different story.
Should I use another sachs hd pressure plate? Just wondering if I could get some advice.

Are you sure it was torque down properly. A loose or even over torque plate coming loose is a catastrophe with a clutch spinning at high rpms.

Yeouch. I've had those straps break before, but I guess I got lucky on the damage- usually
it just vibrates badly, and the clutch won't release at higher rpms.

I always associated those straps breaking with high- rpm clutching- heel- toeing
the M10 could do it when it had an 8k redline. Especially on short little tracks
where I was really beating on it a lot.
Then I went to a Quartermaster, and everthing got easier. No straps.
Yes, it's not cheap, but I only did it once.
In your shoes, I'd be scared of trying that again with stock parts......
