I actually broke the bearing puller trying to separate the drive axle from the hub while replacing the rear wheel bearing. I've beat on it with a sledge hammer, and cannot even move it. Do I have to replace the entire trailing arm, brakes and all? the other side was easy, but this won't budge. Any tips?

Sometimes they slide right out, and sometimes they are almost welded in there.
I agree- heat is a big help- and try several heat cycles, too. Not TOO hot, but since you're
replacing the bearing, you can get it to 500f without any danger...
Don't give up- they seem to appreciate persistence.
tnow, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves
