    Some GS6-37 install questions

    Hey guys, so i got myself a GS6-37DZ box from a 2008 120d (N47).

I have gone over wanganstyle's threads, which are full of info (that actually got me into the idea of doing this in the 1st place).

So far i know how to hold the gearbox using the oem piece listed there (22316760303), plus a custom transmision mount.
i will be using a custom made shifter carrier similar to the one from AKG, and a custom selector rod. basically because its cheaper for me to have it custom made, than to buy the AKG one.

so far so good. now here come the questions.

    1) is there any other front half of the driveshaft that can be used with this gearbox. i have absolutely no chance of getting the american e36 m3 auto piece. most e36 m3s down here are euro models, and the few american ones are manuals.
i hope there is an alternative thats easier to get , otherwise ill have to get the driveshaft custom made ...

    2) what kind of starter motor is required for this gearbox? the one corresponding to the flywheel will do, or is there any other catch?

    3) finally what flywheel+clutch combo would you recommend for a boosted car pushing 450nm torque, mainly used for track/highway (IE i dont care about start-stop-start traffic kind of driving ... plus the DZ 1st gear should help in case im stuck in traffic).
is there any single mass OEM flywheel thats compatible with this boxes? i prefer to avoid the dual mass ones ...

i really appreciate your imput, thanks.

What shifter linkage are you referring to from Akg?

      Aftermarket clutch and flywheel time.

Last single mass Oem flywheel cars I know of by bmw was made circa 1997/8

Driveshaft you will need a e36 328i 5 speed unit and custom shorten it to match 6 speed additional length.

Unless you feel like shipping a USDM e36m auto driveshaft from USA.

I used a e28 524td starter with my 2005/6 320d transmission and flywheel, the starter and flywheel teeth must match.
