    Looking For Input

    Hey R3v,

I'm almost done finishing my e30 project (build thread soon), however I have a pain in the ass issue that is preventing me from getting my e30 back on the road.

I'll try to keep it short. I stripped the drivetrain/suspension, replaced all major components, added upgraded items ect. The car is back together, runs, but I'm getting a horrible binding/clunking in the rear and I can't figure it out.

When I reverse out of the garage and start to turn the steering wheel it starts to happen (as more weight is being applied to the rear suspension)

Wheel bearings are new, half shafts and driveshaft are original but didn't have previous issues with them when it was last driving. I have a 3.73 LSD that I took apart, cleaned, gave it LSD additive performance fluid, also no previous issues with it before.

Obviously I didn't install something correctly, but I can't seem to figure out what it is!

When you say that you "took apart" the LSD, what exactly do you mean. The diff's aren't really garage-DIY items (see post #2 in the link).

Well I took it to a professional shop, we cleaned it up and put it all back together, replaced the diff cover seal, however we didn't get crazy and replace other components. Took it apart just to drain the old oil and clean the inside. I was using it before I did all of this work and I never had issues with it.
