e36 trans fitment on e30

will the manual e36 m3 transmission fit my e30 325is ? my e30 is auto im switching to manual.

the e36m3 trans was used on other bmws non-m too right ? 528i and z3

what else would i need to switch, besides the transmission.

ZF 310/20 was used on 2.8l cars also the m3s. Should bolt up to yours.

Yes and no, the zf will be clocked 10 degrees, so you'll needs custom trans brace and twist the shift linkage. Like the opposite when people pair the G260 with the 24v engines.

so its a better option to do a manual swap when i do the engine swap than fitting a zf to a stock 325is.

im not mechanically knowledgeable but a custom trans brace and twisting a shift linkage sounds uneasy to get/do when i ask my uncles shop to do it.
