hey all, searched and searched and couldnt find anything close to what my e30 318i manual trans is going.
my gearbox makes a high pitched scratchy noise, kind of like a bearing grinding, its not constant it comes and goes.
does it in all gears/neutral
putting the clutch in doesnt do change anything.
only when the motor is hot and im coasting 30+ mph

clutch feels good, all the gears shift good, never grinds while shifting.
could it be the CSB failing? guibo? im going to start taking it apart today
just wondering before hand if anybody dealt with this. thanks !
