    Output Flange Compatibility

I need to replace the transmission output flange on my 1985 325E. It has a 5 speed manual transmission. I have been looking around and I can't seem to find one anywhere for a 1985 though. ECS sells one, but it says it is for cars from 04/1986. When I look on RealOEM it shows two different part numbers one for up to 04/1986 and one for from 04/1986. Is there any chance the one for from 04/1986 is just an upgraded part and would be compatible with my car or would the flange be completely different from my car?

Any ideas where I would be able to find the correct part if these aren't compatible?

It is number 17 in the diagram.

I think I figured it out. One is 78mm and the other is 96mm correct?

Yes, one is big and one is small but they are interchangeable as long as you run the matching guibo/driveshaft front half. It shouldn't be too hard finding another small flange though.
