    5-spd Swap Wiring Question

I just finished my 5-spd swap and I have a question about the wiring.

I jumpered the relay under the dash, but do I have to connect any of the remaining wires left over from the shifter other than the backup lights?

if you bypassed the auto start relay, then you shouldn't have to do anything else. does it start up? if it does you are fine.

I'd like to know if your cruise control works this way.. I plan on rewiring my car this fall with the proper 5 speed setup so my cruise control works again.

I am having starting issues, but I am also doing an M50 swap. I just wanted to rule out the transmission wiring before I move on to something else.

      I love trouble shooting...

If I get the cruise hooked up, I'll let you know if it works or not.

does it turn over at least? without the wiring mod you won't be able to turn it over at all, so if it at least turns over you're fine. be careful what you connect together too, if you short the wrong wires you'll end up popping a bunch of fuses.

It cranks and turns over so I should have bypassed the relay correctly. It just won't fire. I need to check my fuel/spark and the ECU. I have one of the silver lableled 413 ecu's that may or may not have EWS.
