    84 318i coupe with m10 getrag 245 swap help

    Okay I have converted my 84 318i auto with the m10 engine to a manual with the getrag 245. I have everything figured out except for the driveline, currently I have a driveline from a manual e30 and it's too short...

    Anyone have any idea on what driveline I need to make this work?

      Too short doesn't sound right.
      The 245 out of the E21 is longer than the 242(??)
      that the E30 318 got. If anything, it should be too long...
      I have not compared a 245 to a 265, tho- they might
      just be within the slipjoint's ability to make up the difference.

      I can measure tomorrow.

          Okay I was just seeing if anyone knew which drive line worked lol, I know I have have two manual e30 drivelines that are too short by several inches I'll measure the distance tomorrow so I can figure it out and finally get this car back on the road.
