Ok, I have read almost every post concerning the wiring diagram for the 5 speed swap and I am still confused.
I have a 1987 325e (build 9/86) With out airbags or cruise control - I have tried to locate all the wiring concerning the swap and was only able to understand and find the cable on the shifter section of the car which connects to the reverse cable from the transmission. I have not removed or modified anything till I can understand what i have to disconnect. I am trying to go the plug and play option if it available for my configuration.
This is my current setup under the steering column - I noticed two connector not attached to anything and I am trying to figure out what cable to connect. I did removed the stock break peddle and installed the clutch peddle and found the break peddle sensor connector. But I am wondering will I also have the cable and connector that attaches to the clutch peddle. ( Realoem show this item grayed out for my vin) Is this even necessary and what does it do?
