4hp22 transmission filter recommendations

I am going to service the auto trans & take care of some leaks on my 91 325i. I was wondering if anyone has a brand recommandation on on the trans filter kit and fluid. It looks like the transmission will take any dex 3 auto trans fluid.

I'm interested in a REAL filter for one of mine as well.

The stock "pickup" is just a screen like in an engine oil pickup. There isn't really a filter in them from the factory.

This is what Ive used. I do believe they are OEM and they also make seals for steering racks.

I've installed them and have a spare here. They are what's in our cars

Any fluid recommendations? It sounds like dex 3 will work any improvement with running synthetic dex 3?

My dad has found some inline filters that should work on the trans cooler lines at the radiator. Will post supplier information this weekend and pics when we get around to installing it.
