I'm pulling apart a motor from an 87 325is. The flywheel is single mass but it has a reference pin. I know early etas have a single mass with reference pin but those flywheels are much thicker and heavier. This one is 18lbs 11oz. Anyone seen this flywheel before?

It has probably been machined thinner to fit your car. Was your car manual swapped? -

You are correct. The page title/section title in the catalog is generically called "Flywheel / Twin Mass Flywheel" regardless of what came on the car.
But if you look at the line items, a description will indicate whether the flywheel is a "flywheel" or "twin mass flywheel". Refer to the descriptions for #8 on this page to see what I mean.
