5.0 or 2jz need help

Hey guys I'm completely new to bmw and the e30 world. Pick up a 1984 bmw 325e a month ago for 1k to do a ls1 5.7l swap . Decided to go another route because of ls swap cost even tho I already have engine lol.

My question is with the 2jz swap can I use a automatic transmission?

I dont want a manual daily driver and I have my share of other manual cars. Or should I go 5.0 automatic transmission.

Id say more than 50% of the 1jz and 2jz cars came from the factory with an auto behind them. So yes you can use an auto.

Just buy an entire aristo gs300 2jzgte with automatic.

Auto swaps have been done before with other engines so why not!
