4.10 in an I puts the max gear speeds at the same as a 2.93 in an E, but you just go 2k more rpms in the same amount of time.

Just go to that gear calculator I posted up earlier and punch the numbers in.

Another good gear calculator is located at diffsonline.com. You have to know the ratios of the tranny for it to be accurate though. You should be able to find thoese here if you don't know them.

Yes you would. 4.10 in a 325is is money.

You don't have to look too far, they are in this thread.

man, 4.10 in my eta would have been tourture. 3.25 was enough to bump the rpms higher than I liked.

That 4.10 will come in handy when you swap the head/motronic over e30_325es. The delphin in my sig has a 3.91 and that car pulls very hard.

Yeah, that's the plan. Plus the 283 catcams cam. She'll scream.

What usually comes stock in an Auto? a 4.10? 3.73? I guess I shouldnt be so lazy and get underneath it

A 4.10 open diff would be useless in an eta. You will have very limited traction. And I hope you know how to set the preload correctly on the bearing once you pull the input shaft out.

I HAD a 4.10 in my iS. Doing 80 mph and I was right around 3800. I put a 3.73 in. Much better. I also tried out a 3.25 for a little while. Awesome cruising gear. Just as bad on gas as the 4.10 though due to the increased load. Ideally, I would probably put a 3.46 or 3.64 or something in.
This is all in a car with a M50 with the G260 tranny.
