shifter fighting to go in gear

I have an idea and really have not looked into it, but last night I got in my car and for some reason the shifter is really hard to make it into the selected gears. Clutch not slipping. Im thinking the shifter linkage might need to be adjusted but like to hear from those that might know.

The clutch fuild is the same can as the brake fluid. If the Level is more then half empty then the clutch is sucking up air. there is no adjustment for a hydraulic clutch. the problem is most likely a bad pressure plate. it's gripping fine but not disengaging all the way. time for a new clutch

How does the shifter feel? Is it sloppy? When my selector rod began to break (both times) it became very very loose and would hit the edges of the console and still not engage.

Or is it stiff, but you just can't get the gear to engage? I had this happen when my clutch disc fried. No reason at all, I was driving, it felt perfect, went to shift and couldn't. Pulled the trans out and there was a pound of clutch fibers in the bell housing. I replaced it, and it's been fine for over a year.

Not sure if those are common problems, as I have a lot of drivetrain problems (2 shafts, 3 CSB's, 2 guibo's, 1 clutch, 2 shift rods, etc..)

What are these certain gears that you find it hard to get into? This will help greatly in us figuring out what is wrong with your car.
