    E30 Tranny swap?

Ok guys, I am still in the market for an e30 but was wondering, if I still keep the m20 engine, which I'd like to do because I hear its very nice to turbo, would I be able to swap the tranny out from a newer car to get a better, smoother clutch?

    huh?

there are tons of clutch options for the stock M20 tranny. no reason to change out the transmission to get a different clutch..

Not to mention the fact that the engine is the primary driver as to what flywheel and clutch you can use.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Well the one e30 I droves clutch seemed tough to engage. Is that because its a heavy clutch or something? Not too familiar with cluthes. I'd just like something thats easy to engage and not tear up my knees so bad

You might have driven a car with a performance clutch, which can be a good bit stiffer. Or that car might have had a problem with its clutch hydraulic system. I don't find the OE clutch to be hard to depress at all. Or for that matter a ClutchMasters Stage 1 clutch. But I have driven E30 racers with higher performance clutches that were noticeably stiffer.
