    5spd Swap ?

I see that a lot ppl do the 5spd swap. I'm curious to know if it's 100% safe. I've heard from some ppl that it's not exactly safe to do it and I was wondering if the members on this board can give me a little insight on whether it is or not. Also, what's the average cost of doing the swap through a mechanic? Thank you and i appreciate all and any advice given.

As long as you dont half ass it.. theres no reason its wont be safe. I mean... is you working on your own car safe?

      Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

$5-600. Depending on how cheap you can get things.

          $200 for tranny
          $200 for clutch kit
$1-200 in misc other things (drive shaft, CSB, pedals)

More if you get new parts like master/slave cylinders.

$5-600 would probably be half assing it

i'd budget about $1k for everything.
