When I pulled the tranny, the torque converter stayed on the engine. According to the Bentley, it is not attached to the flywheel and it should just slip off. But it's not budging a mm, so I'm wondering if maybe the Bentely is wrong? Or am I missing something? Any help is appreciated.

not that this helps, but i recommend a 5 spd swap.

pry bar between the flywheel and converter. Since it never has to work again you shouldn't have a problem applying enough force to get anything off. The nipple thing can rust and get stuck in there a little bit. Are you sure you got all 3 of those bolts off.Comment

Finally got it off. lots of prying with a giant crowbar, little bits at a time while my dad turned the crank from the front of the engine. Fuck that thing, it was on there tight.Comment
