Has anyone helicoiled their rear drive flanges? I ran into a situation where some dumb punk kid drilled out his drive flanges and used regular case hardened bolts to attach tuner lugs to. Nonetheless, the drive flanges are ruined and decently reemed out. The turn around time to purchase and receive me drive flanges is a week (which I really dont have). Ive been contemplating just helicoiling them for M12x1.25 again. My question is: Is the depth of the flange thick enough to helicoil? This really isnt what I WANT to do, but at this point in time it may have to serve its purpose. I dont have a fear of the strength after helicoiling them. My biggest concern is if the flange is thick enough.
If anyone can shed some light. Id greatly appreciate it.
