    Leaky nipples??

I just swapped out my clutch and M/C.

My brake light came on last night on the way home from work. I did a little digging and found the nipple and hose on top of the clutch M/C is touching the clutch return spring. When I actuate the clutch the spring rubs on the fitting and is causing it to leak.

The nipple is pointing toward the left front of the car. Is that the correct orientation? I tried swiveling it to different positions with no luck.

Which way do your nipples point?;)

    Thanks!

No, the little black plastic elbow that is pressed into the top of the
Clutch M/C and is fed via the resevoir.

Ah, mine points toward the hose, toward fire wall. That thing can be rotated, but if it's old it will break.

My damn return spring is trying to rip the hose and nipple out of the M/C.

I thought my clutch install was FUBAR'd 'cause my pedal wasn't returning as it had before the swap, but it was the spring hitting the fitting. I can push on the pedal and see the nipple wiggle...yea I said nipple wiggle.

                Thanks...already on order.

But I've got to fix the issue or the new on will have the same problem.

                      ...Figured it out.

The return spring is not attached to anyting in the rear and had popped out of the groove it was supposed to sit in allowing the back of the spring to lay on the nipple and hose. I pulled the assembly out and no more leak!

Now it feels like a real mans clutch

Honestly, it feels like a clutch should feel. Who needs that little helper...?
