Driveshaft Too Close to Subframe? (Pics)

Here are some pics I took showing the stock 89 325i 5spd driveshaft bolted up to the stock Getrag 260 trans on one end and an E28 3.25LSD diff (with E30 output flanges) on the other.

See how the driveshaft sits in the upper left of the opening in the subframe? I'm wondering if it normally rests at the dead center of the subframe opening when an E30 diff is installed.

Anyone have an pics showing where the driveshaft sits with an E30 diff in the rear?

The drive shaft is not perfectly aligned in the the tunnel - your pics make it look exaggerated, but nothing that make me think twice.
