    does anyone have a welded diff int here DD and how does it affect the handling, turning radius,all around drivability ???

                  I wouldn't weld your diff on a DD, I have heard of alot of shit breaking from this and your car will turn into a death trap on wet pavement.

                      ok so i decided not to weld the diff so i took the lsd out of one housing (bad bearing) and into another. well i decided to take the 8 little allen bolts off the ring side and see what was in there. (never worked with lsd before) the cap didnt come off, started tapping with a hammer and turned it upside down on the work bench and there goes all the spiders,planitary,lsd clutches,bearings,everything all over the floor. picked it all up looked at it ,sand blasted the clutches figured out how to put it together and wala back on the road sideways these bimmers are simple to work on
