Are they stripped? Is that why your having an issue? I've hammered on 15mm impact sockets and removed them that way when they were stripped. I beleive it was 15mm it was a really tight fight but did the job.

hit it with a high torque impact gun. It will come out without stripping anything.

hand tools might strip it. Get somethign that will hit at least 300 ft lb or torque. put it at 10 oclock, short extention, dont put a flex head on it, or a long extention, you will lose all your torque.

hit one, turn the cv, hit another one, always at 10clock.

I've taken out a good dozen of these, and the ones that dont want to come out, requires systematic process, and a high impact gun.

I'm using a snap on 720ft lb gun. Even that, if you use flex head, and extension, you loose so much torque it wont come out sometimes. Get new bolts when you put back in, the new ones are torx.

I don't have a high torque impact gun, so I have another method.: Place an allen wrench on the offending bolt and hit it as hard as you can with a hammer.
This is not a very elegant solution, and its kind of dangerous.
            But it worked for me.

try a hand impact. can be found at sears. this is a good application. another perfect application is to remove the usually seized locating screw on rusty brake discs.
