Been months - Selector rod position

Its been months since I messed with the shifter mechanism and I can’t remember how the selector piece goes in. I have a short end and a long end. I have a bend in the middle.

Does the bend face up or face down? Which end is short and which is long?

Then this will drop in (with the other pieces of course) like this? Bend making it bend to the back, right?

actually you can't mess it up, long end will go in early type gear bushing, and bend is for gearbox guibo, so, bend faces down.
aaaand shifter, just put it in one way and another, in one way It should be waay off normal position.

Next question (thanks for the help on the shifter) - rear mount. I repainted the tunnel so I’m not sure which hole the rear mount goes into. If I remember correctly, it was the lower one but wanted to confirm. Top or bottom? Thanks!
