Thanks, sorry to thread jack again.
Would that mean installing all the M60 harness, sensors, ECU?

Thanks white325is for the link ;)

I just decided to go through the swap, and I'm getting delievery of my M62B44 saturday morning.
One question I have for you if you don't mind. Is it possible to delete the EWS from an M62? I don't have it and I'm trying to figure out how to bypass that problem.

Thanks, and good luck i'll be watching progress

Lol, yeah oil pan is least of concerns with this swap :)

Jonsku - not worried about the coolant tank or strut bar. There is enough room to make the engine/tranny/driveshaft sit perfectly straight if using 5 speed or 6 speed tranny or both?

Since I autocross/hpde this car I don't want to mess with lowering the subframe at this time if at all possible. So, no spacers = good.

    Motherfucker. Better than an m30?

I was hoping youd say terrible, so i could shrug it off and not lust after this swap.

There's enough space in the gearbox tunnel to raise it a bit in order to get the engine package horizontal without the spacers. Two of my friends did it and it's no big deal.

The coolant reservoir and strut bar (?) do not fit, though.

Much better than with M50 / M30 swaps. The oilpan is about at the same height as the front subframe and steering rack.

The biggest ground clearance problem is the left hand side exhaust pipe.

Yeah, the spacers aren't needed. The drivetrain angle does get thrown off without them though and you get a semi-annoying vibration from the guibo being pinched. I don't even notice it anymore, but whenever someone else rides in the car they mention it.
