It had BBS, but Stonersam got those when he got the car. I may buy them back, but IDK what he has planned for them. That pic must be before he took them.

        OH HAI GUYS!

Yes, I'm back. Got a line through work on a VAC Motorsports LTW flywheel from a e39 540 for a fucking steal.

Problem, I have no info on this flywheel. No reviews, anything.

        VAC LTW flywheel page.

This has been my main hold up forever because the Jew in me will not spend a fortune on a flywheel.

I hear you, that was the most expensive item I purchased for my swap. More then my complete running m60. I waited for a used one to pop up, no luck. If you found one, jump on it. I don't see anything that would cause an issue in comparison to the UUC or JB. It looks like it's actually a pound or two lighter. Mine is 17, that VAC says under 16. Both have replaceable friction surfaces. Both have cut out center sections that will clear an m52 disc. FYI, my UUC flywheel was $7xx.

Is that a non sprung clutch disc? I would not put that in a street car unless it's paired with a rubber flywheel. Use the alum fly and get a new sprung disc.

Perhaps that disk is from a dual mass.

M5 disc from dual mass, stock, rigid disc. The VAC kit is supposed to come with the M5 clutch kit, so that makes sense.

BTW, if anyone needs a 528i clutch/PP I've got one. $100+ shipping. Used, but looks fantastic.

                          Just the way I roll.

It'll be here end of the week. Waiting on VAC to find me a replacement friction surface.

Ok, so, in my quest to find a friction surface, I noticed that the VAC FW is stamped JBR. VAc said they didn't have any friction surfaces, so I'll shoot JBRacing and email and see what they can do.

Edit: Guy I'm buying it from knows VAC and called them to see about getting a new surface.

Emailed JB to see if they beat the price. I'm a cheap motherfucker.

So VAC doesn't sell friction discs for their flywheels? And they are just JBR flywheels in the first place?

Looks like it. The pic on VAC's site is a JB flywheel.

Looks the same as the one I got.
