    VAC Motorsport?
    Schrick?

M60 cams are a bit wilder than M62 cams. Don't know of S62 cams, though. Might be much different due to Vanos.. ?

I'm just throwing out ideas, lets see if we can find any real answers :)

m60 cams are a lot more lift, seems like a much higher rpm range powerband. (dual valvesprings vs single), more aggressive cams.

      perhaps break into 3 sections:

      obd1
      obd2 (non vanos)
      obd2 (vanos)
      OBD1 M54/M52TU swap as a M50b25

Z4 non powered steering rack fits e30

Wanting to bring this back. Like a good NOOB i searched all 14 pages of the V8 section. Looked at damn near every post and learned a lot but I was hoping we could expand on this subject a little more now that this swap is being done more.
Also want to talk about regrinds, upgrading valve train, and all that.
        Discuss....
        Odd man out

        Vanos=Very Aggressive NOS???

Catcams has charts with factory specs and specs of all of their cam options.

For the price you spend on a set of cams with supporting valvetrain components, you're 50% of the way to an s62... probably without much gain.

I dont want to go S62. I want to be different and actually do something with the m60b40. Yes i know its probably stupid and it makes more sense to go s62 or m60 with the 4.4 bottom end. i operate differently. I know it will be more expensive and I know it may not yield a lot more horsepower but its what i want to do. to me the v8 swap is like the m30 swap in the fact that nobody really opens them up and does anyhting with them. Just drops it in. that puzzles me. . anyways...

Webcams also does regrinds on these and so do a few other companies. Stock if i remember correct is 249/241. cat cams will do a 258/247 without upgrading the rest of the valvetrain. unfortunately trying to get a hold of them is impossible since their phone number is inactive. What other companies out there will work on or have more options for the m60 motor?

Cams work best in conjunction with porting and compression increases.

M60B44 with cams and decent porting should be at LEAST a 360 HP engine.
