Some people like autoboxes, some like manual boxes :)
Just completed one E30 V8 auto - swap. It's very nose-heavy, but if you like autobox - then why not?
That one has 2.93 diff (same as originally in E32 / E34), keeps the revs nice and low but if you would want to have a touch more acceleration I'd go for 3.15 or similar. It's five-speeder anyways, so I wouldn't go too much higher.
In my 6-speed manual I've 3.4 diff with 245/35-17 tires and the revs are a tad on the high side when on highway..Leave a comment:

Getting ready to start collecting parts for a swap for my son and i have a question I have not seen answered yet. I've also done a quick search and didn't come up with a convincing answer.
I looking to a M60 Auto swap, what would be the best rearend for the situation.
