MMP M62B44 Build Project "Jack-N-Coke"

    Sorry guys, I have sold my last set of mount for awhile....!



    Ok So I haven't had much time to work on the car lately. The shop has been busy. But i have been able to do some minor work.
    I have fully rebuilt and completed the hybrid MP112, but not with out issue.
    in order to build this you need the best of both the SVT lighting SC and the Sc from the Jag 4.2.
    Sadly the bearings on the jag snout did not fare well and resulted in a catastrophic failure, resulting in some damage to the snout...




























    Once that was repaired I need to strip the old teflon from the rotors and rebuild the bearing plate.





    once all the cool parts are finished and prepped we can assemble :nice:






    And finally I bought and built another stock radio setup with plug in to your droid or iphone music/Pandora. You can't beat the stock sound! ;D

          Ahhh Soo Confused. Getting no power to windows and sunroof

          Ahhhhh..

          So cleaning up all the issues with my v8 project and i have everything elc. on my car working except the damn window switches and sunroof.
          So looking into the power supplied. I'm getting no lights or power to the switches. The PO says it all worked fine and has had no issues before the car came to me.
          I jumped the circuit braker and still got nothing. I'm not the best with this elc. stuff. I just need a direction to look.
          It's bugging the shit out of me. cause everything else works and this is the last thing i need to finish before I tackle the v8 harness and Ms mapping...
          I'm soo close i can taste it and I'm lost...ugh

              Why did you strip the teflon... doesn't it help the rotors seal and improve the efficiency of the blower?

                Ok so the older Eaton had this crappy Teflon on them that was too thin and all seemed to chip off and flake resulting in that shit going into your motor. So if your running an older rotor pack you can pay Eaton to re coat it. Just to have it happen again in 5yrs and is half the cost of a custom SC. Or you can run with out it suffering minimal loss.
                Sadly due to the tolerances of the older rotors and body you can't run a new rotor pack with (the newer black Teflon) in an old body. The new black Teflon is a thicker application and the easy way out for Eaton was to in large the body bore. So I opted to remove the Teflon.

                  Aw this is hard to admit...

                  Need a PNP M60 OBD1 harness for my v8 build
                  OK so i have killed 3 harness trying to build the right one.
                  I no longer trust my ability with German electrical, or my ability to build a custom harness...
                  Sadly i can't even figure out how to get my windows to work.
                  so now i'm on the hunt for a good used pnp harness or a custom harness for
                  my car.
                  the car is a 91 318is

                  The motor is a M62b4.4 converted to obd1

                  I can fab anything build anything make anything, except elc stuff.
                  My build is done. I've got nothing else to do but plug in a harness and go!

                  I built a bitchin harness and it was tucked and clean and didn't work. :razz:

                  So now i need your help. if you think you got what i need or can build it for me please get a hold of me an slap me around a bit
                  than sell me something so i can finish this gawd damn build....

                        M50 and m60 x20 connectors are identical. I have a write-up on where to find the schematics and how to read them. It's a sticky thread in the 24v swap forum. This is one of those things I'd highly recommend learning and doing. It's so easy, and will make troubleshooting future problems much easier.

                          Lesson: Don't tuck it until it works... ;)

                          If you have a harness that plugs into everything, just go through with your volt meter set for "continuity" and figure out what's not connected where it needs to be. Tedious, but less work than building a new harness.

                              Holyshit. Wired in my starter today and my gawd damn windows and sunroof are working now!
