So, everyone seems to go the remote booster option with the booster and master being from the e34 V8. I'm not too keen on running a bigger master since I'm running stock brakes. Hydraulics says that with same size caliper piston and a bigger master, the pedal will have to be pushed harder to achieve the same force with the advantage of engaging speed. Since retaining absolute stock pedal feel is a plus for me, is it possible for me to run the same mounting setup behind the headlight but use the E30 booster and master? Has anyone gone with this route? I'm aware that the bigger booster would compensate for the hard pedal feeling, but for the sake of being cheap and using parts I already have I'm curious if this is an option.

What Frank said..
No your Master will not work on the e34 and or your booster on the e34 mount bracket.
the bolting up of both the e34 booster and master are diagonal as apposed to the inline like the master from your car.
I have not check to see if you hacked two threaded studs off the e30 booster and tried to fit it to the booster mount weather it would work but i have both and can check..https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar...re-irs.356333/

E34/E32 V8 booster is quite a lot smaller in diameter compared to E30 unit..- E34 M5 (x 2) -

Don't forget that the linkage from the pedal to the booster is a pivot setup, and the leverage is not 1:1, as one of the pivoting arms is longer then the other.
IMO, the pedal feel is pretty close to stock with the e34 booster/MC and stock e30 brakes. It's definitely nowhere near as stiff as my other e30, which is stock except for a 25mm master cylinder. That's like pushing on a brick compared to the e34 setup.
