Yep, I'm pretty sure we chased him off. I guess he realized that there really are people that know what they are talking about on the interwebs. Last login was 10:55PM last night.

lol might as well buy an s62!
Like creeping death said. But really, If you bored out an alusil/nikasil block I would love to see it!!!!

    Exactly.

I'm really nobody here bud I would like to add that you can't post a thread with a title of V8 swappage and turbo and not have shit to show for it. You're leting us down bro, post some pics of the turbo.

I took on this project a week ago and had a rather clear mind in this and I believe I have another 2weeks in building thats without body work. have the 6pt rollcage, reinforced subframe, e36 rack and pinion/steering gear, 5 lug conversion h/r coil overs, cf oem looking dash. Still working on the manifold and just ordered the turbo I did go with the gt45 for now. and a built m60 with e39 m5 forged interals (forged and machined) I went pretty much all out for this build and everything is inhouse so no waiting on parts where I could make them

I'll post pictures on here when I get home from work. basically a hybrid motor for boosting. This setup made 380rwhp no turbo with manifolds I made from before

I am just using the s62 cams using m62 not m62tu heads. I started this build last monday since I already had a few motors suspension parts piping etc laying from previous work. I am doing this from my driveway because I don't have room in the shop and I have all the equipment I need at both at home and the shop so why not.

Just highlighting some stuff there that jumped out at me when I read through this.

I smelled BS from the beginning, but it has become rather interesting.

Disregarding the fact that most of those engine parts you mentioned won't fit together without a huge amount of modification, what about cost? Why wildly modify an M62 to fit a ton of S62 parts rather than just buy an S62? It would be a lot cheaper.

To summarize: Making an M62 accept S62 cams, valves, valve springs, crank, rods, and pistons is like making an S62. Word in the street is, BMW already made a ton of them.

    You're using forged s62 internals/cams on a m62tu with m60non vanos heads?
did you bore out the cylinders? I would love to see it if you did...

What about the pics of the fully built turbo m62? That's just a disassembled stock m62.
